A group of like minded Dutton, and kit car owners from the North of England.
Getting out there and touring the great country lanes of the North. Come and join us.

Just a suggestion at the moment, But what about a weekend on the Isle of Man later in the year. There is at least 1 Dutton owner living there going off the thread running on DOC Forum see latest no subject.
Hi Gary, welcome to the group. Sounds like you need a big old welder there.
I have just spent 3 hours polishing and cleaning for tomorrow, and the Bloody heavens openning, I love a British Summer.
keep the faith mate, it will all come together.
Dave, I'd just like to echo Steve's comments and also to thank everyone for a good day out. Sorry for being late (yet) again. We need to plan to meet earlier and then you all turn up 15 minutes late... then we will all be 'on time'
It was lovely and sunny in Blackrod, no rain fell here at all !
We need more gazeebos next time, Sue has set off for Spain with sunburn.
Last sunday saw the 1st Northern Duttoneer's Show, at the Andrew Greenwood Classic Car & Bike Show. We displayed 4 cars on the site, a Phaeton's, a Legerra and a Westfield. Three of us took part in the judging arena, unfortunatly coming away without a trophy. But it's all about the taking part.
It was a brilliant sunny day until about 4 o'clock when the heavens opened which 10 of us huggled together under the gazebo.
Earlier in the day we had a BBQ, Ummm! blackened sausages. but it went down well, and stayed down so must have been cooked well. There was Fruit based drink for the ladies, who might I say have become over the last few months true Duttoneer's. Thanks Ladies for putting up with us and our big boys toys, now you see what you've been missing.
This is the first time I have been to this show even though it's only 16 miles from home, it is a great show not many Kit Cars, but stacks of Classic, and included 2 cars from my wish list a Jaguar XK120 which was in concours condition, and a Daimler Dart SP250 which is just a work of art (see the photos).
This is going to be a regular occasion for the Northern Duttoneer's, along with many more visits through the year. Come and join us, the more the merrier.
We are trying to organise a monthly evening meeting Perhaps first Thursday of the month see discussion forum for more info.
Looking forward to the next show.
Hi Guys, Back from France, the wine lake is drunk, and the Cheese well at 22E for 1/2 a kilo I am still eating it a little bit at a time.
I need to fit my new spring leaves, but hurt my back on holiday, so need to get the the drugs sorted then I can rawl about on my back, I think if I do it quickly the pain won't know until the jobs done. Well that's the plan.
Just back from a run out with the Northern Duttoneers, well we were missing Adrian.
Good run up to Huntley Farm at Samlesbury, nr Preston. Weather wasn't to bad, overcast but the rain stayed away until the run back over Rivington.
All the cars proformed well, and for once nothing dropped off or broke, wonder of wonders I have nothing to fix when I get home.
Again as usual good company.
Back from my 'hols' in a big field full of LARPers now, MOT due tomorrow, probably won't get done until Saturday.
Its good to have the van back on the road but NO substitute for my Leggy. Just hope it passes.
Good luck with the MOT, just taxed mine today, and got a new RAV4 good day all round, apart from I now have a handbook the size of War & Peace just for the Satnav and phone. the one for the car is twice the size.
Will you be able to make the Blundel Thursday? I will be there but may not get there til 8 hospital visit first.
Missed you guys last night. Just had too much mess to clear up while we move the contents of the house around like a rubik's cube...
Hope the quiz in on next time... I bring the 'ringer' with me too.
The Brotherswater Inn at Sykeside as limited amount of rooms, so if anybody fancies the run up and a weekend of good company, and good driving roads, you need to be booking.
We have moved the 2010 Tour about 5 weeks further into Spring, hopefully this will give us a little bit more warmth, and daylight. Which also means that if there are any real brave Duttoneers fancing the run Sykeside has a great Camping ground, and a Bunk house, and also a Cottage (Caterham owners only).

With your support we could make this into one of the big outings of the Dutton Calendar.
I will try for next Sunday if that is the one you all intend to meet, if i am working that day i will actually only be at McBrides in Middleton delivering bulk chemicals, i hope i'm not working.
In case i never said it before..... Hi everyone. Dave
Hi Dave, If you are working, we could still get together at Middleton. What about northbound Birch Services M62, I am sure we could all be there for a brew. just let me know. You can e-mail to thenorthernduttoneers@ntlworld.com with what truck you will be driving.
White Mercedes with "lift tanks" on (iso tanks) liveried up for Huktra. if necc i will email you, but would prefer to come in S1. Just fitted my hardtop and it is much less draughty, so winter driving will be much more pleasant.
sorry lads could not make it as i had to strip and rebuild my starter motor, because the one i ordered for saterday did not arrive, also had to fix my speedo by fitting new reed switch (maplins (£1.20) as vapor wanted £20 for new sensor) also carb needed a new accelerator pump diaphragm on primary choke, (parts carb) fuel consum dropped to single figures! all sorted now but it took all day sunday rather than a couple of hours i was hoping for, i still intend to visit you all and may try for sometime over the next few weeks if we can arrange it, if not it will be first meeting in january. cheers, dave.
Oh yes, we did it, well the Ladies helped, but if we hadn't taken them in the Dutton's and of course Westfield they would never have been able to answer the question's.
First outing at night for my Phaeton this year.
I still want to come over and see you lot with the dutton (i work in manchester lots, but drive a truck) but thursday night meetings are not great for me, any chance of a sat/sun meeting in some pub (for a bite to eat as well) Sandy will come along if she has some female company (cars for some odd reason dont do it for her)
no mention of V5 did it come with one? you will have a very hard time getting it registered if it has not got one!
Re-wiring the car is easy and on the other forum/club sites there is a PDF on step by step instructions on how to re-wire the car.
fuel tank. I have a mk2 cortina fuel tank as fitted to S1's spare, also i have used two reliant robin fuel tanks welded together to give 10 gals or there abouts, a good candidate for a tank must also be the landrover 90 fuel tank (diesel but just wash out and fill with petrol.
Plastic air line from HGV trailers is great for fuel lines (and you can use the snap connectors to join)
bonnet hinge is very simple to make (quite crude on some cars)
hood is easy to fit, as are the doors. (hinges to outside!)
my car is 2.0L pinto, you will need to shorten the sump pan as it will catch the floor all the time.
Best of luck......
Hi Allan, Welcome to the site. The meet as Mike explained is at the Blundell Arms, keep an eye on events it's normally the first Thursday of the month, come along you'll be most welcome. if you go to Groups Northern Duttoneers and join the group.
