Dutton Kit Cars and their owners
My mate and the cars we bought BT 136 and BT 137 both blue in the yard outside Dutton's factory, early days

I do vaguely remember getting to the factory and being disappointment with the crude set up but it was early days of kit cars and although £308 sounds cheap in 1972 I was earning about £25 a week, I do believe in the 80s Dutton had a showroom in Worthing
The 'factory' looks much more like a scrap yard than I imagined. I thought the cars would be indoors and that they'd bring it out on a forklift and put it on your trailer. I didn't expect them to be sitting on soft wet muddy grass with puddles. I bet your mate regretted wearing light coloured trousers!
Hi Daryl is this photo what you want, the whole car is completely original
Hi John can you show a picture of the whole front of the scuttle ,dash area is what I need to see , I have BT 035 but the front dashboard area has been cut off
Yes it was Newcroft, Tangmere but I am sure the building they fabricated the cars was behind me as I took the photo,
