Phaeton doors and hood

Posted on October 10, 2016 at 20:10 2 Comments

Not sure where to ask this so I'll put it here and wait for guidance. :)
Got my eye on a Phaeton S1 its lacking hood and doors Polyfacto are listed on the DOC site as suppliers, but I think that part of the site is out of date as the link goes nowhere. Is there anywhere that can make them or should I just find a local car trimmers to fab some?

Eric, would I be correct in thinking you are looking for a Dutton? Phaeton maybe. Something basically sound but needs a little work. PM me I might be able to help

Just checked the DVLA site and yes, it has an export marker sadly.

So... you need a new toy that requires no welding but some fettling then?

Polyfacto were bought out by Monsoon. May have old stock of S1/2 tops however they should also have the patterns. I would suggest getting one in an odd colour  (not black) to ensure its a newly made roof.

Have you tried to track down your old car? last MOT was 2013 so may possibly still be around.

Well Eric as far as we know it is one of two in the country. Now mine is very unique. There are no other ones with the front fenders like mine. They look like they are factory manufactured not add ons like some. I found her on a used car lot about 20 years ago and have never been able to find any history on her. She is an S2.

Welcome to the site Eric. If you need any parts or need to know how to repair your Dutton these guys are glad to help. Without them my old girl here in Florida U.S.A. that has a Humber Secptre drivetrain would no longer be on the road today. :-)

Welcome back to Duttoneering, Eric. What sort of car do you fancy? Do you want a powerful brute or a lightweight screamer or what? How much work do you want to do to get it on the road? Some on here might have a project for you.
