Winter update

I have 1 more day of road tax, so might have to go for a little run out somewhere tomorrow, then it's SORN for a few months and modify the back end to 5 link.    Escort kit ordered, weld on brackets for link bars, pan hard rod and shocks ordered.  Just need to make sure I have enough co2/argon mix and the fun will begin!

I'm looking into the possibility of dumping the rear cart springs and fitting a full 5 link rear to my Phaeton S3. Rally Design seem to sell the bits I need but I am going to need a pair of coil overs and  I don't want to go to the expense of Gaz or similar, so thought some bike shocks would be suitable - can anyone recommend which ones?    Doing this to gain more width inside the car - I think I can gain at least 3" each side by cutting out the boxes either side and making this area flat.…

All dials and warning lights working. I think I am finally ready for the dreaded MOT test. I'll need to take the scenic route to the test to bed in the new brakes and make sure the engine is OK.
