"Don't know what the current draw is, probably substantial enough to need a new circuit direct from the alternator / starter. Depends on what you have fitted. I have changed to a late V belt Sierra one which I think is 70-90A its a snug fit on…"

"£80 seems reasonable. How much current do they draw, would I have to find an uprated alternator? Legerras could also do with a top tint as we have no sun shades.  "

"i have sprayed the legerra white liked the way it looked so decided just to freshen it up used 2pack frozen white looks amazing will leave it to settle for a few days then flat back n polish hoping to get a good finish then will put some new stripes…"

 I have been doing some work on the legerra and noticed a bit delamination on the top of the windscreen nothing that a sun strip wont hide but made me wonder what the windscreen was from ?? See More

hi its a 13xflow on mk1 hubs e.t.c it need quite a bit of work but im shure it will be worth it
few bit n bobs missing main thing being the windscreen and the wipers although i have the frame for the glass .will need to get fuel tank was going to try and use a mini think a wander around the breakers at the weekend

hi ive been cleaning the dutt out and giving a polish this morning and noticed the windows in the doors and soft top are going that cloudy kind of way just wondered if theres something i can use to clean it up a bit (take the hazy  look off the doors ??? )

hi guys any one got any pics of a pinto in a melos want to see how it sits in . the present engine a crossflow has seen the end of the road as it,s needing a rebore new pistons etc.etc . but i had picked up a pinto back in the summer just a 1600 but it is in good condition so thinking of fitting it in the melos

Xflow wiring is very basic unless you have electronic ignition.
The low tension wire from the distibutor goes to the - side of the coil.
the wire from the + side of the coil goes to the ignition, if you are using the escort instrument panel with a tacho then it needs to run through the tacho for it to work, then to the ign +.
Given that the ign timing is correct and all the wires are sound this will produce a spark, timing the spark is a pain so make sure to get it set right.
