Protecting engine compartment in front inner wings

Hi Long time no speak..... been away for some time now back and wanting to finish my Kitty.Has anyone fitted a plate or something similar to protect the engine bay sides from the road dirt sprayed up from the front wheels? I have some stainless plate and or aluminum but wondered what is the best way to fix it/. Rivet? or self tappers? Either way drilling the fixing holes although small, will it compromise the strength of the chassis /rail? YOUR THOUGHTS AND ADVISE PLEASE. See More

I am now replacing with Capri type alloys with the I suppose you call the mushroom type wheel nuts to fit them safetly and securely on. The thing is that the stud screw pitch is different from the studs that are currently on the vehicle.Question.What would have been the original pitch of my mushroom type wheel nuts as although I have a screw pitch measuring guage it is all but impossible to get a clear reading and it's…See More
