Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Hi all,

Firstly thanks for all the advice and info re: my heating saga. All comments taken on board and now time to think!!

Was planning to start assembling the clutch and cleaning out the gearbox and bell housing before placing the engine back, but ( bobbins not yet turned up).

My daughter asked me as to what I was doing? and stupidly I said "oh waiting for postman Pat" and walked straight into having to help her move her 4 horses this weekend... and all the stuff that goes with them!!! and build a bl****dy shed too. one that I had to dismantle from my own garden to give to her.

Then my lovely wife said to "finish the decorating after the gasboard had fitted a new boiler. Lumy Ive never been so popular and busy all in one day!!

Monday evening I will commence, as the weather down here for us softies will be suposedly getting a little warmer!!??!!

So working without so many layers on in the workshop will be a little more comfortable.

Keep the rubber side down, cheers for now.

Old school I'm affraid Vern, never could get on with them when they first started to make an appearance in the workshop, I still swear by a goodley dollop of barrier cream, now in excess of 35 years in the workshop, and not had any problems so far ....... quick find some wood to caress :-))

The only gloves that are acceptable are the thin surgical ones to keep your hands clean...

And welders gauntlets if your playing with welders and power tools.

If your hands are cold you aren't working hard enough. :-)

Be careful about mentioning extra clothing, I mentioned that I had once worked on a car with gloves on and those Northerners have only just stopped laughing!
