Open to all suggestions BV. Have a mate coming g around who is A series nut. Could go that way, or totally overboard another. :-)

Why not just restore it with the running gear it came with? Just about everything for a moggie minor is available and it would be different. Tuned 1098 A, midget box, banded wheels, that would be really different and it wouldn't overpower the feeble B type chassis. I reckon that would be far more interesting than just another pinto or zetec plus the classic ford boys won't be intersted in it either :)

I will, I was thinking of starting a thread once I get into it, It is coming to bits so easy I've got a bit carried away. &0 odd self tappers holding cables and pipes etc. all came undone! that alone is a first. Chassis is riddled with small holes now. Next is removing the side alloy panels, more holes! reckon I'll be Tig welding them up for days :-)

Maybe a 1300 crossflow but with a turbo? That would be an interesting challenge. Start with a 72bhp GT then add 10psi of boost and end up with 110-120bhp. Maybe.

Nice little tuned a series, or a modern Suzuki or Honda engine, small engined screamer :-)

B type....not B +...

Smaller cars....nicer proportioned  I think...

What bodywork does it have?

That could offer a new home to a Pinto, or even a Rover V8.
