I have a nice set of Weller's not the usual spoke ones, they have oval holes like the Triumph one's. As used on old formula fords. Trouble being they are 15" and the inset/offset is a bit off for a Ford fitment unless you use spacers !! On that subject is ET5 equaling 5 millimeters??

That's really good to hear – I've had my Melos since I was 15 years old (some 25 years now) and built it with my Dad, so that one is staying in the family too! And yes, re: wheels, Phaeton wants a pair of Triumph and a pair of Ford just to complicate things further. IAnyway, long way to go before that problem is solved.

Thanks, good luck with the wheels as 5 1/2 inch Js are hard to find and I have seen odd sets of originals in the past fetching £600. after traveling hundreds of miles in the car in the 80s as a child my son has driven it since I rebuilt it and he loves it so i know where it will go after I no longer use it :-)

They look great John. I'm (slowly) building a S1 Phaeton with a view to keeping it as close to 'factory' as possible. Steels are definitely the way forward. Yours is a lovely car – should you ever decide to part with it (however unlikely!) do make sure you drop me a line. Cars like that need to be preserved! :)

Hi Paul the wheels are what I bought from the Triumph competitions department for my Spitfire back in the 1960s and are 5 1/2in x 13 steels with 185-70 x 13 tyres

Nice to see an original/period-looking Dutton, especially as so many get dressed up to look more modern. Are they Ford steel 13s and 185/70s?

That looks a tidy Dutton.
