Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Been squirreling away a few idea's and parts the last few weeks. Even bought a rusty MX5. So thinking now about a small engine. Like a fiesta 1400 or these 1.25. The easy way is the MX5 engine and box, plus maybe a narrowed MX5 back axle assembly. The mixer is 1800 5speed and a slip diff. Been welded poorly in all the places they rust, but goes really well. Almost a shame to break it up. So back to small engines, any input?

It is going in a B type, which will be small and light, I hope

B+ has fixed flanges either end, I've sorted it anyway, prop all welded up and fitted. Being balanced overnight by a mate :-)

All balanced ready for a coat of paint :-)

here a tack, there a tack, everywhere a tig tack :-))

Master cylinder brackets and brake flexi holders, there are a few bits, init !!

Two different masks?

The fancy one is a cheap mask, only use it for tacks etc. The silver front one is my main welding mask. Very good for my eyes. You get what you pay for, and you only got one set of eyes :-)

Wow. That is eye-wateringly expensive.

seconded, at pro level it has to be worth it.

still struggling on, waiting for the bonnet to come back from Pete the Pole. GT6 radiator fits great, right up the nose. Tub now correctly positioned, off again for brake and fuel pipes fit and then, hopefully it will go on and stay on.
