I'd like a wing like that, just for the attention grabbing too. With out a clean air flow then it probably just adds drag, but I think it adds more style than drag.

Tbh I've never noticed any lift whilst hanging on. I know the aerodynamics aren't brilliant as it won't really do over 120mph and at that it's pretty hairy. I have taken it around Rockingham and it was ok on the high speed banking in 5th. The main reason for it is comedic effect as people think 'what the hell was that?' as it goes charging past

Stupid question: Is this pure optics or is it supposed to be useful? Does the Phaeton not have the general problem to have massive lift at the front with high speeds (>100 km/h)? Pressing it down on the rear might even worsen it? Well maybe not, because it's located very close to the rear axle and thus the effective lever is not so big. But it may still help to keep the tail calm while that nice V8 does it job :)

Yes there is an extensive amount of bracing planned for all of it on all 4 sides. Yes it does look high but I needed to have it at that height to be able to fit a helmet for track days. My original plan was to lower the seating position and effectively the whole floor but I haven't got the time so I'll leave it like this for now and see how it goes.

Any diagonals going into that rear hoop? It looks quite a lot higher at the back - is that just the angle or do you just like the hot rod look?

I wonder where I can get a wing like that?
