To avoid 'complications' with the DVLA try to stick to the same engine capacity as the V5. Look back at the MOT history if there is one, note any advisories on the last couple.
It's worth putting on a list of parts you think may be needed, some of us have spares lying around taking up space and if not spare then I may be able to source new ones at discount rate. I can also do part numbers for a lot of the renewable parts so you can source your own.
