Time to clean up ready to rock and roll on new venture. 3 type 9 gearboxes all with faults but the tail shaft housing is intact. Known weak point. 4 pair of rear leaf springs for Escort. 2 pair of front struts one with springs all brand new. 4 in number 185/60x13 Kelly tyres with loads of wear left. Several 4 branch crossflow exhaust, could probably make a couple of decent ones. 195/60x15 Toyo tyres think there is 4, with about 6mm of tread, totally unsuitable for a road going Dutton. Carbs and inlets etc. mainly crossflow. All has to go as soon as, all is in Plymouth. The skip arrives Friday :-))

Some Cornish guy has just bought most of the spares and the tyres etc. Now got a space to fill and a pocket full of tokens. He just showed me a video of a Rover V8 Crapi with 8, yes 8, bike carbs on it. It runs but not that well, yet.

Any of the gearboxes left ? An if they are what are the problems ?

Hi Rob, sorry, all gone, two had 3rd gear problems, very common according to the motorsport guy's near here, and one was just awful, really noisy and poor selections. He now has gone MT75 only to find it a bit whiny, so a rebuild with a higher top gear is on the cards.
