Gun and Dog, East Butterwick

Just spent the late afternoon at a very pleasant pub close to Scunthorpe, The Gun and Dog at East Butterwick. The pub organises a meet for classic cars, specials and Kit cars every first weekend in the month throughout the summer months. There is a large carpark and paddock on which the pub will allow overnight camping (for free i believe) today there were 2 Magentas, a Trecker, a Spartan, a Sylvia, a special a Lotus Elise, mk3 Cortina, Ford Popular....etc A good atmosphere nice location. I think that i might just camp over next month (Aug 4) Any others care to join me and put on a display of Duttons?

The Landlord and his son also happen to be some of the organisers of the Newark Kit car show, and they are planning to revive the "its a knockout" style of event they used to run at Newark and are wondering if we as the DOC would put up a team to take part next year?

 

Anyone up for it?

Oh... a challenge, this is not good. You do realise we will need to recruit a few 'younger' members don't you Dave.
