Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Random question. Just bought a new daily drive from my brother and the leather front seats could do with a little tlc. There aren't any holes and bolsters are solid just a bit of wear, anything I can do to make them black again? I have seen some leather dye on ebay and some where else read shoe polish!

Just do a search on ebay for black leather dye, it will bring up a kit with cleaner, dye and feed. Used to use them on the Jags all the time they do work very well. DO NOT use shoe polish unless you want your clothes the same colour as the seats it's made with a lot of wax in it.

be very careful where you get your dye from.....i bought some of the spray on type (highly recommended generally speaking) however i bought some and sprayed my seats with it and it never dried, even today almost a year later the seat covers are still tacky.

I did think shoe polish sounded a bad idea Marc! Cheers Dave will bear that in mind
