Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Left for work this morning, then my wife rang to say that my Phaeton had been crashed into on our drive. Someone leaving our house this morning didn't see it as she pulled off our drive and smacked the front wheel arch. Marian sent me photos, which don't look to scary, then she said it's moved sideways on the drive 2 foot. Turned round went home, shock horror, it had moved 2 foot finished off just 4 " from the Sierra. The woman must have hit the wheel first, then as the Phaeton moved sideways the front corner has taken the impact. Photo to follow.
These old girls are strong bit of kit as the damage is only a crack in the glass where the wing meets the bumper.
She doesn't want to get insurance involved as she get full no claims, so that the paint, thinners and glass kit on order tomorrow when I get back home. For now it's beer time.

Now the alternator has packed in. Thought it was a bit iffy. Service exchange from our local kit car friendly Auto Electricians for £30 including VAT.

Fitted and working well. Result...

I love my Classic Dutton.

Picked up the paint this afternoon, and the Lass the crashed into Daisy Dutton was round paying me for it. Always a silver lining I was going to respray the car over last winter, but my knee stopped play. I would have been very upset if she had crashed into a newly painted car. Now I have the paint for the respray, just need the weather to buck up.

Didn't realise until now that our Fluffy has photo bombed me
