Phaeton bonnet restraint

What do you guys have to hold the bonnet on your Phaeton's when it tips. Mine had a piece of webbing but this snapped earlier. I caught the bonnet but it pulled all the bullets for the lights out! Need to rig something new up, any ideas?

ive fitted two thin wire ropes to mine one each side with eyelets in both ends. i have a couple more kicking round if you want them?

Cheers Ifan, how is it attached the bonnet end is it to a bracket or straight to the fibreglass?

i have made a bracket to come off the headlamp base so i didnt have to drill the fibreglass and so you cant see any fixings from outside.
