Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

I've just helped a guy out who lost his power steering. Dived under the bonnet to find it didn't have a pump or any pipes ! Seems it is all done by electrickery nowadays. Anyway it was a detached wire. But it got me thinking, all those kit cars with stupid great wheels that people cant park without getting a hernia, I could make up electric power steering kits..................... anyone???  Thinking outside the box, that's all.

Oh, ECU ??  ¿¿ Forget that then, will have to be bicep building for wimps. :-)

Fitting Corsa steering columns for the power steering is very common on the Rickman Rangers. Rickmans are a bit heavier than your average Dutton. I was struggling to manoeuvre mine the other night after I hurt my little finger playing volleyball and the medic strapped it to the next finger (on the same hand) which put both of them out of action.

that got me confused now?? right all out pumping iron and no creases in the sheets (think about it) then a spot of dishwashing winding down with a good hoover, pinnies on :-))

Us unemployed have to do our bit

Not sure if I'm ahead of the curve here but im using corsa power steering.
Now I've read everyone's comm I'm not that ahead. Lol
The smart arse bit will be if it works. Lol. So far have a chassis with a a few bits bolted to it and a garage full of bits. Lol.
I'll post a pic off the unit I have
