Really shows you what can happen when things go wrong
My first thought when I saw twin fortys was " loose union"
But looking at the damage it does seem a really fierce fire behind the clocks
Very strange its only down as a cat c as well

Apart from the battery, the engine bay looks to be mostly smoke damage, usually when the weber's go up they end up melting bits of themselves. I would guess a wiring loom fire under that dash, caused but one of those silly electric heaters for a demister possibly?
