Rear Wheel Bearing Orientation

HELP!

Does anyone know which way I should orientate a replacement bearing for the escort axle. It has an offset o-ring and outset on the inner race.

Gut feeling is the o-ring should engaged just before the bearing is fully home, so have it biased towards the hub?
