I have weighed it now, with my Tesco scales, and I ended up with an overall figure of 816Kg with a full tank (only took 32 litres) and with the spare wheel in the boot. The weight distribution is 51%:49% (front heavy), with slightly more on the right than the left. Of course that'll be different with me in the drivers seat! That is about 10% lighter than the Mk1 RS2000 Escort, which did 0-60 in 9.0 sec with different gearing which avoided the 2nd-3rd gearchange. So I should expect about 8.0 with just me in it.

What is really nice is the way that it pulls smoothly from little more than 1000rpm and it goes well in any gear. And it starts instantly.
