I have been modifying my GRP tub for most of this year but I don't get much time and I am very slow, unlike you. But if you have to modify the tub then it can be quite slow to do a neat job using GRP, compared to Dave's metal tube and glassed-in ply. Sheet ally could be nice, especially if you have access to a bending machine to make nice edges. If you are doing it at this time of year then GRP is slow to cure and will be pretty much impossible when the cold weather sets in (unless you do it in doors).
playing James, Brmm Brmm noises etc. I'm thinking seat base, keep this moulded set up or go the Dave Adams route, and make a frame and clad it.
So were you resting or testing?
