tacked in position, I now have the engine on modified mounts. Positive step forward :-) Today, welding gearbox mounts and then strip it all out again for a tidy up

Comment by Steve Kerswell on July 16, 2016 at 10:57: It's not weakened, but I'm not happy with it, so may start again once the engine is pulled, again. The strut brace needs altering too. This was going to be a quick fix, how wrong is that :-))

Comment by Big Vern on July 16, 2016 at 10:30: Just an idea but wouldn't it have been stronger/easier to cut all but the last 2inch on either end of that x member and then put a full width straight piece sat on top, you'd still have clearance and avoid weakening the x member.
