It's a good job you don't live in Manchester, here BOC won't sell it without you having a Licence. I have to travel to wigan to buy CO2.
The MIG was a bargain I paid £50 for it, from a customer closing down, and it was only used a couple of times.
not everyone's choice but i use the gasless mig wire, it is a little messier to use (lots of spatter) but does get very good results. i do also have a conventional mig, as well as oxy acetylene, but much prefer the gasless when working on my car outside (or in my garage if i am honnest)

Got some more gas, and there is more in this one. I have finished the engine mountings, and the suspension top plates.
I had a close look at the mess made by the butcher of Dutton's of the bulkhead where the steering column comes through. This guy was no craftsman in metal work, it was a total botch up.
Decided to take it all out, but then re-thought about it as he had cut a big chunk of fibre glass away. A bit of a head scratching, and had the idea to laminate the metal work into the glass on both sides of the bulkhead, which will add extra strengh to the fixing point for the steering colunm, and it will look a lot cleaner and tidy.
Test fitted the Crossmember and steering rack after repairing the brackets. It's all coming together now.
Another step closer to the light.

Thought about it but deposit is too much, usually 14kg bottle lasts a few months. Think I need to check the hose and valve.

Managed to get the engine mounting fabricated today, then run out of gas for the MIG, sure I've been diddled on the last one I bought only lasted a week.
Also made up the suspension top plates.
