That unit looks same as mine Corsa c. I had to swap the stalks (at the other end) for Corsa b as the digital ones only have 3 wires for everything. I used the stump of a Corsa rack input shaft cut off and welded to a standard Ford compatible steering shaft  and used the Corsa short UJ shaft together with an eBay bearing supported on a specially made chassis bracket. I also chose a smaller oil filter for the zetec

Not sure exactly which unit I have. I might have a better pic and will upload if can. I googled and wasn't 100% sure. Mystery. Thanks tho.

it might be alright as it's not been connected to 12vand from the angle it's hanging at any water may have drained out anyway, but yes I'm pretty sure it's the wrong way round - and it wont work like that the Corsa stalks go on the other end. If you can get some early Corsa B ones than you shouldn't be stuck with the awkward-to-use digital ones the traditional types clip in just fine

Thanks for advice. I guess my one is now frazzled as been outside. Oops. As for back to front it might be!!! I haven't done much research on these units and just whizzed a bolt in to get an idea!! I assumed! That the solid shaft was the input side. I'll get googling. Cheers.

Hang on a moment. Is that in back to front?

Not much in our pics actually. But I can say we used the stump of the input shaft cut off a Corsa rack welded to a standard splined shaft to suit the Ford rack. Also, make sure absolutely no water can get into the metal control box. We wasted two of those before realising that the pcb in there was dissolving under electrolysis and now have a drain hole juse in case

Yes a bit of power steering. Must be getting old. Any help advice is always welcome. It's progressed a tad from this so should be looking soon to fit steering properly. I'll have a quick nosey at your pictures now. Thanks.

Hah power steering! I think it was AdrianS who mentioned someone else had got that. Handy in combo with a quick rack. Our  motor sticks out the other side tho. Hence the hump on the side. let me know if you need any help or ideas on getting it working

This was originally in a "Nissan" colour. Will be different when finished.

Getting there. Getting bit old. Lol. I just want to be able to drive it hard. The s1 is a pig to squeeze into. Hopefully new seats will be the answer there. Rear end next then have a rolling chassis.
