450Kgs, that is impressive! No wonder it goes well.
many years back I had a rapid mini pickup, the LSD was wound up quite tight, used to snatch all ways. Came out of work one day, the girlfriend was driving, hit some wet cobbles and snatched and broke her thumb. She never drove it again, and wasn't my girlfriend for long either.
The car a MK2/3 was built 1967 as a race car imported to Australia early 68 and is one of the 50 FIA homologated cars with historic passport etc it has a coopers S 1310 full race engine jack knight LSD Needham close ratio straight cut box and weighs about 450 kgs, the 70s roll bar is aluminium and no longer compliant, it has harnesses, battery isolator and tow points all the usual period race features.

Hi James roads not always empty in fact it’s the strangest thing for a massive country the roads are quite congested around any urbarea.
How was it? What is the engine size and tune?
I'm pretty jealous of the empty road too!
