MOT PASSED!! Must have been the doors, because I didn't touch anything on the car just thought "It's not run that much this year (800 miles) It'll be right.
Mine was the second Dutton to be MOT'd by the garage today, Steve Heap's was done this morning too and also passed.
Dave the X-Flow inside sticker from Ebay 250908306056 £2.19
The ally sheet is 2mm, I wanted 3mm but the company had 2 offcuts at 1450 x 630 for £48 incl VAT My doors are about 960 x 620 so the off cuts will be used to duct the radiator.
I roughly draw round the old doors with them pressed flat on the ally sheet, cut the shape a little bit bigger then offered up to the car and trimmed up to fit. I already had perspex widows in the old doors which was stuck in with silicone, so ripped them out and cleaned them. I was going to use windscreen mastic to fit them in the new doors with clip riveted on to keep them in place, but then decided to get plant glass windsceem rubber and make a proper job.
The vinyl wrap is from this company on Ebay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/carbonprintuk I have used them a few times now, £19.99 for 1000 x 1520mm roll 3M no air bubble backing so good stuff. I ordered at 4pm on Tuesday it was delivered free the next day. Total cost £92 the pair, then I have spare vinyl and ally.
Just makes the car look tidier. Right MOT this afternoon, watch this space.
Cheers Dave.
I got the decal from Ebay along with the M60ring which is on the other side of the car, I'll try and find the site for you.
Like the xflow inside sticker, where can i get them?
It's not a deliberate mistake I just ran out of day light tonight, so tomorrow I will cut out the aperture for the window.
Decided it was time for new doors on the Phaeton
