maybe it was a prototype for this Dutton:

I think that it is just that the tyres are low profile, so on 13 inch wheels then they are rather smaller than normal.

That's true for sure. Yet I could't make out if it is the small wheels (13") or if the arches have been modified, too.

@rob: Does the Melos bolt straight onto the S3? The rear is slightly modified since the leaf springs were replaced by shock absorbers. I'll put up a picture of the chassis geometry in a minute.

@Adrian: The tub needs some work, but is without any holes. Also the part besides the seats (some wood and foam) is in a bad condition but looks repairable. Looking forward for the pictures, thanks!

Ouch. Full body. If the tub is complete then I can help with outer panels as I have a complete S3 body and nosecone, not perfect but in more original condition than that..

The tub would need to be separated from yours as the tub in mine is no good. Any colour you like so long as its yellow. You would need a big sprinter to collect it as it's too big to post .

I'll take some photo's tomorrow and post em up here.

The back doesn't look too bad, in my opinion, but the front is rather a different matter. It doesn't seem to have any headlights.

Nice looking red Melos body on ebay in the Bristol area
Small amount of damage to the rear wing appears to be the only damage
Would drop straight on there
