Should say, first gearbox was in the car, noisy and leaked, second was a type 9 that came off eBay. Third gear went, just rattled like a machine gun:-) third one lasted most of the summer, but third gear went and it leaked badly from the front. The MT75 came from a reliable source, and he took the three boxes in exchange for rebuilding the MT75. The R H has a Sierra diff so the prop was a doddle.. I suppose you buy a old gearbox, until you use it in earnest you never know what you're getting.

Hi Dave, the guy busted 3 boxes in a year!! He does compete in the car. We found a good MT75, not mine, he has had it rebuilt with a higher first and higher fifth. New bearings etc. Then we tried to fit it, few niggles a few bad words and a small bit of panel work. It's not quite finished, but hope to spend a day on it tomorrow, I could do with my garage back !
