Just realised the Tyres were Good Year Grand Prix S, White Lettered. Oh and that was 1979

Only seen them like this once before, and that was on my Capri which happened trying to drop a pair of 11's with new Good Year GTS tyres on. That time the planet gears left the diff case behind and shot up the road That was a big BANG)

The Capri had a 10 plate BW auto box connected to 1600 Tuned Crossflow, The box had been rebuilt that week to take a 360 Cu in V8 out of a Ford Thunderbird for the purpose of Drag racing. The box was the first stage, the said axle was to be changed over the following weekend for a Capri 3100 axle. Needless to say it never happened, not because of the axle which was changed the following day, but because I wrote the Capri off on the M62 going to New York Raceway at Pocklington, Armco is not that forgiving. But that's another storey.

Well the problem of no drive as been found, 1 grenaded diff, shame really because the crown wheel was running perfect going off the markings.

So we now need a diff.
