Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

The original carb and the original inlet manifold are available. But the vendor also included Weber 40 DCOE carbs. When I checked the DOC ning last week I read a entry Glenn (I suppose), where it was said that two DCOE Weber can not be fitted to the Kent in the Dutton since they collide with the master brake cylinder. I couldn't find the thread any more (why?). Is that true? Do any work arounds exist?

You can get offset inlets, don't know how far though. Didn't know it was a touring Dutton :-))

Ask Dave Adams, he had them on a Malaga B+ no problems. It will depend how and what bulkhead you have. I measured mine, and they would go. Different master cylinder maybe. If you are building it from scratch, I'm sure a bit of thinking will get over it. As for your valves I would think someone has replaced one as long as it seals I cant imagine a problem. Your valve springs are doubles, looks like someone has been building a fast engine, be good to know what cam you have hidden in it. Good luck with your build.
