Bonkers! Madness! But jolly good sport. Judging by the video, there isn't a lot of engine breaking available and gear changes would be very slow. I think that the huge amount of hot gases exhausting in front of the occupants might be a problem.

There was a similar gas turbine (a Rover one) in the Lab at university. We all did experiments with it in the second year. It made a din that could be heard all over the university. That one was only 75 hp, if I remember rightly..
