This is the wettest I have ever been driving my Phaeton. What happened to drive at 50MPH with the roof off and you don't get wet, Yeah right!!!

The Northern Duttoneers had a run out to the 35th Cheshire Classic Car and Bike show at Capesthorne Hall Macclesfield. The weather didn't look to good when we met up in Bolton. We drove through Leigh on to Red Farm just outside Knutsford where we had breakfast (see the pattern food is an important part of our trips) after a harty feed in were off again, as we approached Knutsford the the sky blackened and the rain started light at first then the heavens opened. But we carried on only 5 or so miles to go. By time we arrived we were soaked, it's not so much the getting wet, it's the looks you get from the other cars next to you at the lights that look of bewilderment and the question in their eyes WHY!
Even with the rain the show had a great turnout with a lot more kit cars than usual.
The trip home was much more comfortable the sun was shining, we called at Barton Aerodrome for a brew and a slice of cake before jumping on the motorway for quick chase home.
