Lovely weather, crack on. Welded a beam across behind the dash to hold the column. Cut out and made a new dash, covered in leather. THEN, the poo hit the fan. Speedo and rev counter hits the cross beam. Out with the slice blade and removed enough to clear. Stop for lunch. Slide the dash back in only to find the radio, mp3 thingy hits the wiper motor. Recut the hole 50mm lower and recover the dash. Yippee. Not quite, the switches are a tad snug, out with the rat tail, then the dash is to thick, so I've had to rebate the back to allow the lock nut to grip. Finally, things are back to normal except the new loom is a bit short in the lights for instruments. Argh!! At least it's not raining.........yet.

o god. your having one of my normal days. deep breaths ....carry on. :-)
Now a funny thing happened when I built my Sierra dash... same issue with instruments, same issue with radio, My central wiper pivots in such a way to foul anything deeper than four inches into the radio apeture :( I just binned the radio...
Just about back to where I should have been 4 hours ago. I was tempted at one point to follow Martin's idea and give up :-(
never give up. :-)
Just sat out the back watching the sun go down, bottle of red plonk. That's better, bring it on :-))
Never been that fussy. White, red, rose? And that's just my good eye !
