its a twin choke webber. not auto choke. ill try that tmz martin... thanks
no need to be sorry. no harm done at all pal
I thought the idle mixture screw governed the amount of fuel going into the idle jet therefore winding it in will close it not open it.
Basic settings for idle on a twin choke are mixture screw all the way in and then two turns out, slow running throttle stop is two turns in from point of contact with throttle control arm.
thanks chaps. could it be old petrol its been stood for 5 months....?
My Leggie did exactly the same to me today after I had jump started it with a 'spare' battery.. As soon as I let the revs drop then it stalled. Unfortunately, that was when I had just reversed off the drive, and then it wouldn't restart because the battery was flat, so I had to push it back up the kerb and to my garage, lucky that Duttons are so light. The battery is back on charge now.
iv sorted it it was stale fuel. new fuel. running very smooth now.
