can we up grade to get more or is it just easyer to clear out / better to? i for one would be properd to put toword any costs if needed.

This was discussed earlier in the year, at the moment it is working

Does the system email people to tell them they have been removed?

Anyone can join this forum. Tim or myself accept new members. It's a shame we have to make space by removing non contributors to the forums (only after 12 months). unfortunatley the earliest "Last Log on" now is feb 2012. so even that criterior is no longer available.

I hate to say it but suggestion welcome. This site is too good to seize up now.

As Danny really - is there a way of upgrading the membership with ning for more members?

If it means this becomes a contributary site then maybe its the way to go. Should it become the official dutton site? of even located within the members section (some clubs have their forums within a memebers section and some of the membership fees fund the forum)

What do others think?

I agree its too good to lose now.

how many on here are DOC members, if its 90 percent then  yes it should become the official dutton site, its already that in everything but name , that way the club should be able to cover any cost   from enlarging the site  non members could possibly have guest status for say one month   after which they have to join the club , can that work? without causing a lot of work , either that or limit them to reading posts only   what do others think?

I for one am not a fan of the way this site stores threads and don't particularly like it. odd really as i see i am one of the higest posters.......some aspects are ok some less good. being popular is not a great reason to be sponsored by the club, but i will go along with any majority decision and not object after any vote by the DOC membership.
however i don't feel enough forum types have been explored yet for us to settle on this one.

I also find it difficult to find stuff on here but the main dutton message board is also difficult to find stuff, older stuff also seems to disapear.

Mr g's I like for the way its laid out but only you, AndyS and Tom go on there.

I like the facebook style of this site for the day to day general banter and that has obviously hit a chord as this site is busy all the time and the other two sites have little traffic, only about a dozen posts last week on the main Dutton site and half of then were you and me!

As far as the forum goes a combination of this sites facebook 'front page' and Mr g's for thread location and the main dutton site for info depository (why did I want to write suppository there:-o)

I like Mr G's forum too but for the amount of users we have there are too many sections on it. I think a site like Mr G's with a few sub forums something like general chat, technical, build threads and for sale would be ideal

Dave some things are difficult to find, but you are one of the highest user on here, and the only poster on Mr G's so I suppose your the highest poster on there too.

The DOC site is only updated on the classified page.

This is the most used forum of updated all day by it's members, the problem it as is being the basic version and Thanks to Tim Walker's generous wallet still here for us to use. As I have said in previous posts the pro version has lots of good features, and as this site is working and needs little work to upgrade it.

In my opinion without this site the Dutton marque would be lost.

so how much is full site costs and what benefits does it give? what changes to its current format would we see?
