good news.....bad news......
hello all. do you remember the guy up in duram who was breaking the yellow melos. well looks like hes making a living now out of breaking duttons. to what i know of hes broken 1 melos. 2 sierras. in the last couple of months.
good news....we can get parts from him.
bad news......more duttons dead.

The Plymouth and the Tamar are littered with V6 moorings. Used to be V4's but boats got bigger. Now weld a chain on a couple of diesel engines. As for Chevette I to was lucky enough to be a passenger in HSR. And a Lotus Sunbeam that he built afterwards.

lotus sumbeam. when i bought my mk1 mini. the guy was selling a lotus sunbeam. wanted a grand. i know they are worth a lot now....i shoul have bought it......regrets....

My B+ is nearly all Dolomite Sprint, in fact if I swap the rear axle for the Sprint one I have, it would be. So it's safe from the Ford guy's. However I was approached last year at a show to see if I was interested in selling the engine and box to a Dolomite restorer. He even offered to swap for a red top and box and get the electronic bits sorted. So no one is safe really.

Electrician on site had a drop snoot, used to wash it daily, understeer like nobody's business on the wet roundabout.

I had a Monza auto, great car but 10 mpg meant it had to go. Guy still has it, only uses it to tow a big caravan 3-4 times a year. My current Saab is a really good car, very quick and very understated, but again it's giving 20mpg around town, but does have a grin factor when you engage sports mode.

apart from the lottery idea its been thought about but the only 'active' people seem to be Daryl and myself at the moment.
Problem is we can't afford to get all of them.

it's not about just saving the good ones, that solves itself, its about saving the others, the ones getting broken for spares, thats the hard part.
There is a white Melos, just gone on ebay again,301840168346 its been broken down so far, all that remains is the shell and chassis. I'm having issues with the reg as it says its a 3 door escort... Hmmm
