I think you got it there Graham, I'm sure that the proportions are wrong. I'd reckon it needs 6 inches in the wheelbase. Such a pity when the details are so good. A 1600 Type 3 is good for 54bhp - I had one. You wouldn't want to get in a race with a milk float!

i think it looks really good. stop it darly. you know thats not true dont you hu.. daryls garage walls are covered in pictures of dutton melos`s he secretly loves them....oh yes and he especially likes them in pink....

very true melosman. have a look how the rear bumper comes around the back of the car....very melos that...!

its got leather daryl...mmmmm

Now on my watch list due to someone clocking me looking at it... :(

i like that but not with them wheels...

I do work for a Jaguar restorer, one car every other year. I would love to pi## him off by arriving in one copy. He'd never forgive me :-))

I like the wildcat but ... oh those wheels look crap on it. They make it obvious that its a replica. There are no pictures of the engine bay. Why do people do that?

There are too... Rover 3.5 under the bonnet.

Agreed those wheels are sh1t3 BUT they are just wheels after all, probably the easiest of flaws to fix...

So there is, silly me! A Rover V8 should be quite a good engine for a car of that size. I followed a real E-Type on the M25 yesterday and I was surprised by how small it looked, from the back. There was a Mondeo alongside it in the procession for a while and it dwarfed the Jag.

I have most of a sd1 here, got it in bits for nothing. Came from a rat rod that has got big power being inserted. Can't see it in a Dutton somehow :-)

I rather fancy this body to go on the Legerra, item 121838716347. I went as far as to count the paving bricks to estimate the wheelbase at 89". I'd have to add 3" to the rear trailing arms and into the propshaft. Obviously, its not going to happen, but worth a little daydream.
