firing order is 1243,
turn your cap over,so that oblong cut out is facing left 1 should be just above that, with 2 next to it, 4 by the semi round cut out and 3 oposite 2
1 should be almost facing the inlet on No1 cylinder, remember the dizzy runs anti clockwise on the crossflow
PS thanks but i dont need any seats, so if anyone else local to you wants them, they can have them.
they are all different in position.......the firing order is 1243 NOT 1342 from memory it will be anticlockwise.
turn the engine over to the timing marks remove the rocker cover look at the valves no 1 OR 4 cylinders will be compressed the opposite cylinder will be "firing" the rotor arm will be pointing at the lead that will now be no1 or no4 cyl.....simples
thanks for the info , i had two leadss in wrong position but i think cylinder 1 is fooked. charrging up the battery and have another go next weekend. glad the dizzy is in the correct position.
the car wants to start, i can tell so not a million miles away
Have you tried a compression test on each cylinder? (don't forget to take the rotor arm out and wedge the throttle wide open.)
