some pics of the rebuild process,

the top trailing arm bracket is broke......

the diff is sloping back a little (looking up) so that will need sorting.......

As you can see there isn't a lot of bracing in an S1 chassis, that will be sorted.

cheers i will try them.......

ordered some lift off hinges Sunday night.....they arrived today very impressed... they were quoted at £1.90 a pair.......so i ordered 4 pair.........two each door.

well they really meant "a pair" so i have a total of 8 door hinges...... all for a cost of £9 delivered....

Nickel plated but who cares? they will do the job for years.

I have been a bit busy lately...

It's Nissan 526 Red...same colour as my old Malaga B+.

Not a bad colour........

And even though I had some mirrors....I have bought some more.

love the colour dave

I love the colour too. It's a proper 'notice-me' colour, like a fire engine. Might help ambulances see you next time.

the colour is almost 50/50 yellow and red with a dash of green......apparently.

Progress. ..... new headlights fitted.....grille fitted.

Oh and a new idle valve connecting pipe fitted. The 15mm copper pipe I had used would resonate at high revs it was VERY  loud!

Trims to cockpit opening....

It's all coming together. .... I do lack one wiper arm. I have two wiper blade's but just one arm . I am expecting one in the post anytime soon.

hey looking good mr adams

Cheers mate.....

man done good another one saved from extinction

I need a roof bar.....or at least the dimensions to make one.......the main dimension i need is the height from the end that plugs into the roof bar to the top horizontal, the curve radius i will have to see what i can get....
