How do i go about fitting seats in my S2.

I have some small"kit car" type seats, however they dont have a frames.

My seats have a plain flat base , the driver slide has a slider so that the seat position can be addjusted.

What is the best way of fitting seats

Cheers

Not an easy job if you are using the original seating tub. It was designed to have foam covered cushions that sit in the shallow recesses on the floor. If you can get a seat to fit in the narrow gap, you tend to sit too high and end up looking at the top of the screen, and driving around with a head shaped lump in the soft top :-))

If you are happy with the positioning of the seats you already have, you will need to strengthen the bottom of the tub, there are several ways this can be done. 1, cut a piece of aluminum plate to fit the bottom of the seat recess and then fiberglass it in. Or, 2, fit a pair of 25mm box section rails to the chassis underneath the recess, these can either be welded in or bolted, then you can bolt the seat down.
