Allan, Ill post back on your page on that one.

Dave, spider crazing isn't serious unless its caused by impact damage. The ones on my bumper were deffo impact damage (mondeo tow bar) and went right through the matting. Problem is unless they are sealed they can allow moisture to get behind the gell coat and separate it from the structure of the matting.
I used a small, toothed cutting tool to cut back to the matting and then replaced the gel coat colour resin with normal resin, sand flat and paint.
I do know Snowy loves the acetone method and I have used it on some cracks but its a bit messy. I will have to use it on the ambulance because of the triple skin.

I managed to get some hardener from the place in Darwen. It was not a fibre glass supplier, but a moulder. He sold me some in a jam jar for £2.
He also said not to worry too much about spider crazing, it is only the gel coat that doesn't flex, and will come back again if it is stressed, the underneath fibres are not cracked.
This guy can make patterns or work from a mould, interesting find for future reference.

I will chuck some in tomorrow and hopefully move it into the garage, or at least cover it up again.

Those pistons have never run, whack some redex down the bores and let it stand. If the piston are new the bottom end stands a good chance being new too.

It was a 2.0, not sure if it will ever turn again as it was seized when I got it from the lockup, it came with the orange sierra 2.
Was going to take it and the spare engine out of the garage down to Martin at FIC to get one decent one built up for next year.

I will dig a bar out of the garage tomorrow and leave it on the little wall on the right side of my drive. The springs are there too if you want to take them away with you ..
