Strength in depth, Daryl!
I also have most of the parts from the Ford EFI system, plus a second fuel injection inlet manifold that will fit below the Legerra's bonnet line.
But I also have a Pinto in my Rickman and I have a couple of Essex V6's that want to get in on the action.
Strength in depth!
My son has an electric carving knife, we'll fight over that :-))
its an agreement between my wife and i that Xmas day we both do as we please.....which means a full day in garage for me and a full day in front of sad xmas films for her .....brilliant!
Cannot find my keys this morning, have a suspicion they maybe in someone's handbag, all day without a spanner or grinder, whatever next :-))
I bought myself an electronic distributor, which is in the post, as something to play with towards my EFI project.
32 DFM was mk 2 cortina gt, What size chokes does it have?
As far as I remember they did 28/32, 32/36 and 38/38 so this was a new one on me. Didn't even realise it was odd until I went to fit the new spindle bushes.
I have a selection of carbs now including the DGAS, DGAV, DGV and DCV.
I was thinking of using DGAS gears on the DCV and fitting it to the 1300 but reckon it will function fine as a progressive once it's been re-jetted. I'm sure my old cortina mk5 had a 28/36 DGAV as it was pretty tame until it hit 3K rpm.and then you could really hear the second throat open as it climbed higher. Thats half the reason I want to swap to the DGAS, I very rarely need to exceed 3500 rpm even when giving chase to mr Taylor, don't think i've ever held it flat to the boards.
Ade you said 32/32 carb? I have a 32/36 carb, did you misprint?
