Steve, thats more mileage than some kits, quite respectable as you do have a tin top for everyday use.
I plan to emphasize the lovely scenery, beautiful guest houses and welcoming locals... not the twisty roads, humpbacks and cattle grids.. Pat will be fine...
See seed planted and your already looking for places to stay, re-direct the men in white to Blackrod.
The guy I talked to yesterday said he did the 1000 miles in 23 1/4 hours drove the 250 miles up to the start and 250 miles back the day after. I can only think there must be a drug in squashed flies in the teeth drives biker's wild.
1000 miles in 24 hours in a Dutton.....Dave tell Marion to expect the men in white coats shortly, I'm sure they will let you out at weekends and every first thursday...
Sue and I did a bit of the highlands a couple of years ago in the mondeo, Would have been much more fun in the legerra. Got a couple of nice places to stay bookmarked too, Will have a mooch through the photos and see if I can dig some up for next weekend, Mail em to you.
Sorry I couldn't make yesterday but it sounds as if we might have had some safety issues with my car if they were playing with stuff, there are still a few sharp edges in the cockpit, round the steering column.
Hope Daisy survived ok.
Lots of kids climbing all over my car, touching, switching, pulling. I don't know why I put the old girl through this every year, but it's for a good cause. Bolton Children's Opportunity Group (Bolton COG).
The Goldwing guys have just done 1000 miles in 24 Hours around Scottish Highland's, could this be the spark of an idea for the Northern Duttoneer's next year. I await your comments Duttoneers.
