I was going to weld on the bottom lugs, but glad that I didn't, as when I put the bonnet on again, I decided that I could move the bottom of the radiator forward a bit more. I am using serrated rivnuts from MEM, as they are going in to sealed box section, I am not too worried about them being blind, I always liberally coat the threads in anti cease grease anyway.

So you weren't tempted just to weld on a tang? Did you use blind nuts? I bought a blind nut machine at the Exeter show this year but I haven't had any need for it yet :-(
