If you have the 38dgas carb and its in good order then keep it, decent 32/36dgav's are getting hard to find these days. The DGAS will need to be rejetted to suit your engine as they are way out and will give poor fuel economy.
I will try and dig out my jet settings for a DGAS on stock 2.0L at the weekend.
A 2 litre Pinto should get you to 60 in about 7 seconds, so it is good a reliable performance. I would look to re-route that return hose, which goes from the carburettor auto choke back to the water pump, to avoid the exhaust manifold. Other than that it is looking in nice condition.
