So who can help?? I think I'm dumb plus no manual I can't check but what stops the bearing falling out?? I have a new seal as you can see but this wouldn't hold bearing in place?? Any ideas or pics would be appreciated.

Oil deal, then flange with washer and nut. I am away at the moment but as you tighten the flange nut this crushes the spacer and you need to check the pinion location on the crown wheel. If you are just replacing the seal without moving the bearings you can get away with tightening the nut until you feel resistance, then less than 1/4 turn just to put pressure on the spacer. Should be ok

Does this help?

Cheers ade. There's a crush tube washer thingy inbetween the two bearings.

looking at the pictures on google (which are crap) i think there is supposed to be a crushable spacer tube which goes in, then the seal, then the drive flange, then the nut.

I'll have a root in the haynes manual for a diagram a bit later as just on my way out.
