I was thinking of blocking on top of the rear wheels, resting the body on top and then altering the tub to fit. Bolting the whole lot together, flip it over and glassing up again. Front is clamshells so as long as it sits parallel to the floor it should be 'close'

I decided to fit the outer body first on the eagle/S3 hybrid, then cut and shut the tub to fit inside it. probably a load of unnecessary work but seemed like a good idea at the time. as it doesn't have any sort of tub at the moment it seemed quite sensible.

On s3 you have one chassis cross rail under the rear of the gearbox an another in front of the rear axel and 2 rails running fore an aft to mount seats on

Had various wooden blocks to space out between GRP and chassis in both seat mounting and body mounting locations

Even had a steel spacer in the seatbelt fixing area

When Tim started s3/Melos production went mental and I don't think they could keep up it looks like inner tubs/bodies were thrown together an not many of them were in the right place !
