Know what you mean! I think I might look for a cheap tacho on ebay and fit the gubbins in.

Thanks Mark, it does have a 6 on the tacho, will it work with a 4 cyl engine?

Makes sense, now you mention it.
That would also explain the ageing on the circuitry on the back.
Must be from a GXL or Ghia, standard models didnt have a Tacho

Just trawled through ebay and cant find a match under ford... is it marked as a ford cluster on the back?

I'm guessing Sierra or Granada.
So needs a white dial kit fitted...
