Thanks Steve,  yep I'm chuffed with the way its all coming together now.  Have never played with trimming before, so was a new experience. I used some spray glue for industrial carpets, spray it on both parts, let it dry for 5 mins then slap it together ...... you only get one chance as it sticks instantly, as the two surfaces are brought together.   Also added a hinge to the centre panel so I have a small glove box for wallet and phone etc.
